What should I expect during treatment ?
Dermaplaning is a painless treatment that starts with a cleansing of the treatment area typically the face & neck, followed by the professional exfoliation in the form of dermaplaning with a sterile blade. Topical skincare & Sunscreen is then applied to the skin post treatment. There is also a choice of a deluxe treatment with added Dermalux LED or upgrading to Hydrafacial with Dermaplaning at the same time (Hydra-dermaplaning)

How to prepare for Dermaplaning
Please refrain from using any active acids, retinol, vitamin A for at least 48 hours before treatment.
Dermaplaning is not recommended if you have any of the following skin conditions. Skin cancer, uncontrolled diabeties, active breakouts or men with heavy facial hair. If you have active acne it is advised to wait until breakouts are healed. Anyone with multiple moles over the treatment area due to a sharp blade being used. Coldsores, flat warts, raised lesions, chemotherapy or radiation, eczema, dermatitis, Family history of hypertrophic scarring or keloid formation, Hemophilia, Oral blood thinner
medications, Sunburn, Tattoos. Use of Accutane within the last year and severe Vascular lesions.
The treatment is recommended every 4 – 6 weeks and takes around 45 minutes with minimal to no downtime.
Post treatment the skin may be sensitive to sun exposure and may look pink, so we advise to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation. Treat the skin very gently for the next 48 hours using gentle products with no additional exfoliation and no active acids including the use of retinol. Avoid wearing makeup for for 24 hours.
